The Art of Duality

ABOUT

“I don’t copy songs. I translate them. I find my line inside the melody — sometimes whispered, sometimes wild.”

Danydeee (Dany Dobner) is a Munich-born, Berlin-shaped, Asia-based vocalist and composer whose work spans soul, jazz, pop, and neo-soul. Known for her dual identity — elegant ceremony poise and electrifying stage presence — she crafts evenings as living arcs: stillness that deepens into celebration.

Her repertoire is vast and rich: from the intimacy of Adele and Etta James to the grit of Tina Turner and Melissa Etheridge, through the timeless grain of Billie Holiday and the modern pulse of Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Macy Gray. She makes every piece her own, often freestyling motifs and bending phrasing so familiar songs feel newly born.

Rooted in Germany’s precision (born in Munich, musically shaped in Munich and Berlin), she carries a global lens: Japan as base; Penang, Malaysia for jazz nights and live party sets; Ghana and Germany for multiple Oktoberfest appearances, including the original Munich Oktoberfest. Across continents, her hallmark remains the same: presence, restraint when the moment asks for grace, and fearless voltage when the room is ready to rise.

Beyond interpretation, she composes — original songs that thread soul and cinematic pop with an ear for space and tension. On stage, her bodywork and breath control translate into performances that feel embodied rather than staged. She is as compelling in a single spotlight as she is fronting a full band at peak energy.
